Mon Cal A-Wing Pilot Action Figure
More Mon Calamari Rebel pilots this week, it's the unnamed A-wing pilot from the deleted scenes of ROTJ as seen on the bluray. This figure is one I'd been struggling to find and luckily picked one up in an awesome comic store I discovered in Prague while on holiday.
The sculpt, paint and articulation are all fantastic on this figure, my only complaint is that his head is a bit too tall for the A-wing and it was a struggle squeezing him in to it for this photo.
Without realising it I've built up a bit of a Mon Cal collection, above from left to right: Admiral Ackbar, Nedar Vebb, unnamed A-wing pilot, Ibtisam and Mina Tils.

Ibtisam and Nrin Vakil Action Figures
Two members of Rogue Squadron who come from rival species yet overcome their differences and fall in love, sounds cheesy but I recommend the X-wing comics from Darkhorse where you can read the full story.
I believe figures come together in a comic pack but I bought them loose on ebay individually. Nice sculpts on both figures and they both have the standard x-wing pilot body from a couple of years ago which is well articulated.

Wedge Antilles Action Figure
One of my all time favourite Star Wars characters, Wedge Antilles. Literally Luke's wingman'in the movies and the star of the excellent X-wing novels by Michael Stackpole and Aaron Allston.
I've seen people online complaining that this figure is rare and goes for a quite a bit on ebay, I was lucky enough to find this hanging from the pegs in a local toy store.
Here's a couple of photos of Wedge with the X-wing. Below from left to right: Biggs Darklighter, Jek Perkins, R2-T7, Wedge Antilles, Dutch Vandar and Luke Skywalker plus R2-D2 up in the X-wing.

Snowspeeder and AT-AT with Luke and Dack Action Figures
Recently picked up this Snowspeeder so this week I wanted to try and recreate a few shots that follow Luke and Dack's story in the Battle of Hoth.

Biggs Darklighter Action Figure

An older figure here, normally I display my rebel pilots with their helmets under their arms, this figure however has the helmet as part of the head sculpt.

George Lucas aka Commander Jorg Sacul Action Figure

This George Lucas, I mean Jorg Sacul, action figure is one of the few I keep on the card, this was a Celebration II exclusive figure, have a read at the spiel on the back, cheesy but cool all the same.

Jon "Dutch" Vander Action Figure

Gold leader from the Battle of Yavin in ANH, this was the pilot who got shot down immediately after ordering his squad to 'Loosen up!'

Major Mianda Action Figure

Not sure where this character fits into the Star Wars universe other than he piloted a TIE fighter in the Battle of Endor and his call sign is apparently Scythe One. I'm going to have to get round to checking him out on Wookieepedia.
Pretty cool figure though, similar to the standard TIE pilot but with some slight deco changes including the stripes down the front of his helmet. Now that I have this figure I'm starting to have a bit of small TIE pilot collection going, below is Baron Fel, Major Mianda and a normal unnamed pilot.

Grizz Frix and R2-T7 Action Figures

This is Grizz Frix and his astromech droid R2-T7.
I know very little about Grizz other than he was killed in the Battle of Endor taking out a shield generator on one of the star destroyers, all the same it's another rebel pilot for the collection.

A-Wing w/ Unnamed Pilot Action Figure

A nicely detailed and good looking model however for a Hasbro vehicle it's a little sparse in features. It does have a retractable landing gear and a lever at the back that pops open the canopy.
The vehicle came with this unnamed pilot who seems to have the same body as the Tycho Celchu action figure but the head sculpt I don't recognise. If any of the regular visitors know if this pilot is meant to be a specific character please let me know in comments.

Dagobah X-Wing w/ Two Luke Skywalker Action Figures
Been saving this post for a while now, since it's so damn cool I wanted to wait until I had a few more followers. Don't have to go to far into this blog to realize I love action figures and delve a little deeper into my collection and it should be obvious enough that I adore X-wings. So this is maybe my favourite part of my collection.
Above you can see the ship tilted at an angle with moss covering the wings and fuselage making it look as if it could be submerged in Yoda's swamp on Dagobah. Standing in front is another one of my many Luke Skywalker action figures, posed as if trying to lift the X-wing from the swamp. Sorry there is no try, he's simply not lifting the X-wing.
The moss however can be removed as pictured below and I have another, different Luke action figure for this which you can just make out in the cockpit and another R2-D2 figure docked in behind him.

Ibtisam Action Figure

I really like this figure, great paint job and awesome sculpt. As mentioned when I posted about Nrin Vakil last month, this the moncalimari Ibtisam whom Nrin fell in love with, a tragic tale that ends in Ibtisam's death.

Nrin Vakil Action Figure

A Quarren X-wing pilot from the Rogue Squadron comic books. As a Quarren, Nrin had a natural intolerance for fellow pilot Ibtisam, a Mon Calamari, that eventually boiled to the point that they *spoiler* fell for each other, Ibtisam action figure post coming soon...

Derek "Hobbie" Klivian Action Figure

First appearing on Hoth in ESB, Hobbie really makes a name for himself in the X-Wing comics and novels.

Baron Soontir Fel Action Figure

Leader of the 181st TIE Interceptor squadron, this is Baron Soontir Fel, a character based of the real life Red Baron from WWI. This character made several appearances in the X-Wing comic and novel series and I've previously featured a model of his starfighter when blogging my titanium TIE fighter collection.

I like to pose him with the helmet off as above but have also included a shot of him fully suited on the right here.
