Aurra Sing and Young Boba Fett Action Figures

Since they appeared together in TCW last season I decided to post Aurra Sing and Boba Fett together. Above Boba can be seen holding his father's helmet, this is actually taken of my Jango Fett figure which was I blogged a few months back.

The Boba figure comes with removable body armour and a Mandalorian style rocket pack as well as similar pistols to Jango Fett's DL-44s. Aurra Sing also comes with a pair of pistols and as well as her sniper rifle.

Kotobukiya Senate Guard

This is my only current Kotobukiya piece, it was gift from my brother and sister a few years ago, its a beautiful statue and I've considered collecting more in the 1/7 series but its an issue of cost and space.

A-Wing w/ Unnamed Pilot Action Figure

A nicely detailed and good looking model however for a Hasbro vehicle it's a little sparse in features. It does have a retractable landing gear and a lever at the back that pops open the canopy.

The vehicle came with this unnamed pilot who seems to have the same body as the Tycho Celchu action figure but the head sculpt I don't recognise. If any of the regular visitors know if this pilot is meant to be a specific character please let me know in comments.

Dark Horse Omnibus: Shadows of the Empire

This omnibus collects both the comic book adaptation of the Shadows of the Empire novel and the follow up comic series, Shadows of the Empire Evolutions which follows Prince Xizor's android Guri on her own adventure after the events of the original story.

Leia Action Figure in Boushh Disguise

Although this figure is actually from a slightly more modern line than the previous three Shadows of the Empire figures it is still relevant to SOTE week here on the blog as its at the same time that Chewie disguises himself as Snoova that Leia gets her costume.

This figure is of course more famous for its appearance in ROTJ when Leia, disguised as Boushh, haggles with Jabba the Hutt. What makes this figure so cool? Cause it's "holding a thermal detonator!"

Chewbacca Action Figure in Snoova Disguise

This has become a Shadows of the Empire week on this blog, in the novel Chewie and Leia are sent on an undercover mission. Leia disguises herself as the bounty hunter Boushh which you'll recognise from ROTJ (check back later in the week for that figure) while Chewie disguises himself as another bounty hunter, Snoova.

For the deception Chewie has to trim the top his head and die his fur in places. Makes for a great action figure that comes with a big blaster rifle and a cool battle axe that can be clipped onto his back.

Dash Rendar Action Figure

The main character from the Shadows of the Empire video game and major role in the novel, this is smuggler Dash Rendar. This figure comes with an unusual blaster that is supported by a back pack as seen below.

Prince Xizor Action Figure

Continuing with the Shadows of the Empire theme from yesterday's post I thought I would blog this Prince Xizor action figure tonight. Xizor was the leader of the Black Sun, a galaxy wide crime syndicate. Xizor plays one of the main antagonists in the story and is able to hold his own alongside Vader and the Emperor .

A pretty cool figure with a great face sculpt, however I don't recall the weird energy fan weapons he's holding being used in the book.

Shadows of the Empire Video Game

As mentioned in the previous post this is the game version of Shadows of the Empire. In the game you get to play as Dash Rendar and follow him through his arc of the story. The game includes flying sequences and ground based shooting as Dash.

I didn't play this game at the time, in fact I first played it only a couple of years ago and never really got into it. I'm a big fan of the book so maybe I ought to give this one another try.

EU: Shadows of the Empire

Easily one of the best Star Wars novels, Shadows of the Empire takes place between ESB and ROTJ, it was part of multimedia project similar to the Clone Wars that consisted of this novel, two comic series, a toy line, a video game and a soundtrack even though there was no movie.

The book follows Luke, Leia, Lando and Chewie and introduces two very popular new characters, Dash Rendar and Prince Xizor. I'll say a bit more about both of them when I come to post my action figures of them.

Titanium Venator-class Star Destroyer

Seen in ROTS and TCW, this is a Venator-class Star Destroyer also known as a Republic Cruiser or a Jedi Cruiser and is a fore-runner to the classic Star Destroyers seen in the original trilogy.
