Lego Star Wars The Padawan Menace on BluRay

I really enjoyed this special when it was on Cartoon Network last summer. The disc includes a load of older Lego specials making it worth having in the collection and as well it comes with this awesome mini-fig of "Ian".

Star Wars Robot Chicken DVDs

In my opinion these are the absolute best Star Wars spoofs, I like a lot of different comedy and naturally love any Star Wars jokes but none are quite as entertaining as this trilogy, you get a really strong impression that the Robot Chicken team are just as big fans of the 'Wars as any of us.

2011 Star Wars The Complete Saga on Blu-ray

It's been out for a few days now hence no blog posts as I've been busy watching away, if you're still on the fence about picking this up don't be as the films look incredible on blu-ray.

This completes my feature on different Star Wars formats, look for a return to regular action figure photography in a couple of days.

2005 Revenge of the Sith DVD

The additional sleeve on this DVD, seen on the left in the above image, was another preorder exclusive.

2004 Original Trilogy DVD Boxset

No surprise that these are by far the most watched DVDs I own, the gold packaging was a preorder exclusive and normally this boxset was silver.

If you've never seen the features on this bonus disc I highly recommend getting your hands on a copy, it includes 'Empire of Dreams' a three hour documentary that covers the making of all three original trilogy movies that unfortunately doesn't appear to be coming on the Blu Ray set.

2002 Attack of the Clones DVD

By the time this DVD came out I was enough into Star Wars to buy it on day of release, I have really fond memories of the three years between AOTC and ROTS even if I did nearly go out of my mind speculating about how it was all going to end.

1999 The Phantom Menace DVD

The first time I actually owned any of the Star Wars movies was this DVD, I only got it after AOTC came out in cinemas and after a couple of weeks of constantly hassling my parents to take me back to the cinema to see it again they bought me this instead, I guess they really didn't want to sit through AOTC again, the fools.

1997 Special Edition VHS Boxset

This was how I first saw Star Wars, I was 12 and my school library had this boxset.

1997 A New Hope Special Edition on Laser Disc

I've never owned a laser disc player and only recently acquired this as something I thought would make a nice collectable, I sort of equate it to having your favourite album on vinyl.

1995 Original Trilogy VHS Boxset

This is the oldest copy of the original trilogy in my collection and it's also the last time the original unaltered films were released on VHS and while I make no secret that I prefer to watch the special editions they are still nice have on my shelf.

Droids and Ewoks DVDs

Both these DVDs contain feature length episodes of from respective TV series. Droids is novel enough but Ewoks is unwatchable.

Star Wars Clone Wars Vol. 1&2 DVDs

When you read on this blog about the original Clone Wars microseries this is the show I'm talking about. Originally aired on Cartoon Network between the releases of AOTC and ROTS, these were short five minute episodes, the show moved very quickly and covered a lot of material and introduced a lot of characters considering there's only two hours worth of footage across both DVDs.
