"What do you mean nobody knows?!"
We're a little late with this weeks post because it's been a busy weekend. Had good fun making this one, I've been experimenting with the green screen some more, I'm now keeping the figures away from the screen to avoid green splash however I'm still working on getting the lighting right.
Hence this week a lot of the figures have pretty thick borders around them, I'm pretty sure I know where I went wrong though and it should be better next week.
This is a total photoshop cheat, last time we did this shot I did actually managed to to get Han's hand around 3po's mouth but for this I've used photoshop to stretch Han's hand around.

Death Star Planetarium
More Uncle Milton Star Wars Science this week with the Death Star Planetarium. This was a birthday present from my Mum and it's like the coolest, geekiest Russian doll I've ever seen.
Top layer, the Death Star from ANH, looks great and plenty of detail if I want to use it in some movie scenes.
Take off the top half of the Death Star and you have a planetarium that projects Earth's night sky (the science part I guess). I love anything to do with astronomy, when I was a student one of my flatmates painted Earth's night sky on the living room ceiling with glow in the dark paint. So this layer is cool, but the next layer is superb...
That's right, a planetarium that projects the Star Wars Galaxy around the room! The planets and regions are labelled and just like Episode 2, Kamino is not on the map. Lastly here's just an idea of what the galaxy map looks like, we held the planetarium right up to the ceiling to try and show off more of the map but normally it fills the walls as well.

"He could use a good kiss!"
I'm having a great time making these, photoshop has always been my strength over actual photography so it's awesome getting to use some more of skills on this blog.
Again some of these images from the movie have already been done on this site and therefore the figures have all been shown off before but the goal is to recreate Empire in order,
Disclaimer here, this Han Solo figure does not have a pointing finger, I photoshopped in the hand from a different figure.
Join us next week for the next scene in the movie and don't forget to like us on Facebook.

Ponda Baba and Dr. Evazan Action Figures
Two essential characters for any good Star Wars collection, Dr. Evazan (left) and Ponda Baba (right).
Only recently picked up this pair and it could well be the start of my new Mos Eisley Cantina collection...

Han and Rieekan
I had a lot of fun this week and I think I'm getting better at this although these were a lot easier than the hangar scenes.
Cheating here in that these aren't the proper rebel officers in this picture, I'm not sure who they're supposed to be but I'm sure if you look them up they all have names and possibly action figures but I just used figures with similar hair styles.
Come back next week for some Han and Leia bickering, should be good if I can get the poses right.

Lego Plo Koon Necklace
I got this necklace in December in Manchester and he was one of the first few necklaces I made. He's one of my favourite necklaces, as you can tell by the wear on his mask. I've loved learning more about this Jedi Master from the Clone Wars and his link to Ahsoka.

Han's return to Echo Base
Little bit late with this week's movie scene but better late than never. Above, as well as action figures, I've used part of my Star Wars Miniatures collection to do the gun.
This photo took longer than I realised it would and didn't turn out as good as I'd hoped however it was a good learning experience and I look forward to trying to do similar images again.
Remember to like our Facebook page where you can find all our Empire Strikes Back images in one handy album!

Clone Trooper Keyring
A recent addition to my big box of Star Wars tat, I bought a group of Clone Trooper action figures off a member of the Emerald Garrison and included in the deal was this Clone Trooper keyring.

Wampa Attack
Ok so this is repeating ground we've already covered however I want to go back through Empire and update them in this new style. The photo above is a big cheat in that I photographed two action figures and superimposed them because the arms on my Hoth Luke are not articulated enough for the pose.
Instead of the arm reaching out I wanted to do the Wampa's roar but the on the figure I have the mouth is too closed/small so it just didn't look right at all, hence I've stuck with the arm.
We're planning to stick with Empire until we get to a stage where I don't have enough figures, so check back next week for Han's arrival at Echo base.
